About

Sarah has an honours degree in Art and Sociology from University of Liverpool. She went on to work in the arts and culture sector in the North West for clients including afoundation (founders of Liverpool Biennial), Tate Liverpool and a varied mix of cultural festivals and projects. On returning to the Midlands, Sarah continued her freelance arts career, blending multiple artforms at a range of scales, and engaging with local, national and international artists and partner organisations. Sarah subsequently worked with Birmingham Hippodrome for five years where she led their outdoor arts programmes including producing the opening of the Cultural Olympiad programme for the region in 2012. She went on to direct the Lakes Alive festival on behalf of Lake District National Park. Central to Sarah’s practice is putting meaningful audience experience at the heart of artistic excellence.
